Event Briefing, 4 October 2010 - Tropical Cyclone Matthew formed on 23 September 2010 and was the fifteenth tropical cyclone and thirteenth named storm of the 2010 Tropical Atlantic Hurricane Season. At its maximum intensity in the southwestern Caribbean Sea, Matthew was associated with 60 mph winds and a sea-level pressure of 998 mbar.
Event Briefing, 21 September 2010 - Tropical Cyclone Igor began as a classic Cape Verde-type system, emerging off the coast of West Africa on 6 September as a large area of low pressure. The system quickly organised into a Tropical Depression on 8 September, strengthening to a Tropical Storm on 10 September and becoming a Hurricane the following day.
Event Briefing, 7 September 2010 - Fiona began as an area of unstable weather off the coast of Africa during the 4th week of August. She eventually became a Tropical Storm on 30 August but struggled to develop any further as a result of the high wind shear associated with Tropical Cyclone Earl, which was moving north ahead of Fiona.
Event Briefing, 31 August 2010 - Tropical Cyclone Danielle started life as Tropical Depression Six on 21 August in the mid-Tropical Atlantic, becoming a Tropical Storm the following day and a Hurricane the day after that.
