The Chief Risk Management Officer (CRMO) is a full-time managerial position within CCRIF SPC responsible for providing technical leadership and advice to the Management and Board in the areas of risk management, catastrophe modelling, financial planning, and (re)insurance placement. The CRMO will lead CCRIF’s Risk Management team and provide oversight and strategic guidance to the work of the Risk Management and Placing Broker Consultants.
This position will enable CCRIF to take greater ownership of its risk and risk evaluation processes and contribute strategic input from the Facility’s perspective. The CRMO will play a lead role in ensuring the technical integrity of CCRIF’s catastrophe models and insurance products, with a focus on maintaining the company’s solvency, liquidity and long-term sustainability.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Catastrophe Modelling, Actuarial Science or Insurance; and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar industry, including at least 5 years at a senior level within an insurance or reinsurance-related organisation. Demonstrated expertise in catastrophe modelling, risk pricing and actuarial analysis is essential.
The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset.
