A magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred at 03:12:15 UTC on 25 September 2021, 53.6 km (33.3 mi) NE of Anse-Bertrand, Guadeloupe; 58.2 km (36.2 mi) NNE of Le Moule, Guadeloupe and 69.6 km (43.2 mi) ESE of Falmouth, on the island of Antigua in Antigua and Barbuda. Initial estimates from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) located the epicentre of the event at 16.824°N, 61.164°W, and at a depth of 40.1 km.
