A magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred at 06:39:06 (UTC) on 6 April 2023, 16.1 km (10 mi) SE of Moyogalpa, Nicaragua; 24 km (14.9 mi) S of Rivas, Nicaragua and 30.6 km (19 mi) WNW of Nandaime, Nicaragua.
