Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States - OECS

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CCRIF and the OECS Secretariat was signed in April 2012. The MoU provides a framework for a collaborative alliance between CCRIF and the OECS Secretariat in enhancing the regional disaster risk management process through capacity building, increasing country-level risk awareness and supporting community-level disaster risk reduction programmes

University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre – UWI SRC

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CCRIF and UWI Seismic Research Centre was signed in March 2012.The aim of the MoU is to facilitate a project to enhance the accelometric networks in the Eastern Caribbean and Jamaica that seek to promote the evaluation and mitigation of seismic risks in the Caribbean. A contract was signed for the SRC to commence the project.

Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC)

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CCRIF and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre was signed in August 2011.The MoU sets forth a framework for a collaborative alliance between CCRIF and CCCCC to assist the governments of Caribbean States in understanding the risks of climate change to the economies and people of the region and in identifying possible cost-effective adaptation measures to support greater resilience at the local, national and regional level.

World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes

World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes
CCRIF is a member of the World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes. The forum convenes annual meetings which bring together executives from national and international disaster insurance schemes to share their knowledge and experience and to make this available to new and emerging schemes and their sponsors.

UWI Disaster Risk Reduction Centre

UWI Disaster Risk Reduction Centre
The University of the West Indies (UWI) Disaster Risk Reduction Centre and the World Bank signed a grant agreement for the Caribbean Risk Atlas for floods, hurricanes and earthquakes project in mid-June 2009. CCRIF’s catastrophe modelling platform and the data it generates will be made available to assist with the execution of the Risk Atlas project.
